It's a new year. A new decade. A new blog. And a new weather system for the south...SNOW!!
Our big city in the south was dusted with about 5 inches of snow during last night and the wee hours of this morning. Big deal, you say. Let me go back and highlight the important parts of that sentence...
"Our big city in the south...about 5 inches..."
The city has shut down. Every grocery store in a 250 mile radius has completely run out of milk and bread. What is it about the threat of inclement weather in the south that makes us all immediately rush to the grocery store and buy milk and bread? Are we all going to busy ourselves dunking cookies and making toast while we are snowed in? You would think that stores should be running out of toilet paper, beer and Advil. But, I digress. (And confess that I, too, bought milk and bread...along with ice cream prior to the snow).
So, the cute story of the night stars Lil Bit. Born in the south, raised in the south (all 3.5 years of her fabulous life), she is the quintessential southern belle. After her purple colored bath, colored by fizzies from a wand, she decided tonight was a perfect night for "Pepmint Ahce Cream". Now, before you say this out loud, you must imagine you are Vivienne Leigh, coming down the stairs of Tara with a hankering for ice cream. Put on your best "I've got the vapahs" attitude and sauce it up.
"Mama, I want some Pepmint Ahce Cream, Puhlease."
Ah, her New York born grandmother is so proud!
